Sluggish performance on iPad Mini

R28C   January 11th, 2013 6:11a.m.

I have been playing around with the iPad mini app the past few days. Recently, I created a small list with 8 entries all consisting of 2 character words I pulled from MDBG. I then fire up the Skritter app, select Advance Study and isolate to that list. When I study, the performance is noticeably slower. The next entry will never show up unless I manually hit the right button myself. The wi-fi icon is constantly spinning. After 5 or so practice rounds I can no longer study further (tapping right does nothing) and must back out to the menu. I have tried clearing out my user data to no avail. Another list consisting of over 2,000 single character entries doesn't exhibit this behavior. Can somebody please advise?

This sounds like a bug that's fixed in the 2.1.0 update that we're submitting shortly, where single list study items don't properly go back into rotation (and newly added ones don't show up) until the next session. For now, try avoiding the single-list study for small lists or lists where you need to add a bunch of words. Our update should be out in one to two weeks.

Thanks, in the meantime, I will only practice single lists using the webpage app.
