I enclude the above link to my blog because it shows a screen shot of http://www.nciku.com/ which I used for 4 hours until I finally got a CAPTCHA that worked ( 一丝一毫 )

I include a plug add for Skritter in my posts.

Actually China's answer to Twitter is called 微博(wei1bo2) which you can see at:

http://weibo.com

I find 微博 to be a lot more fun that 人人網. It is a looking-glass into how the Chinese language is shifting to adapt to the digital age.

Yea the Chinese digital language style will probably see more changes than any other language in the world if the censorship stays at this ridiculous high level (it can get even worse apparently http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15615952). Sad but the positive thing is that most Chinese are starting to notice the crazy censorship on a daily basis.
For e.g. if they post something on a Youku video that has some relation to society or government, most of the time the comment will be blocked even if the words are carefully chosen and not harmful at all. I guess the system will shoot itself in the foot one day!

Oops, I didn't mean to turn this into a discussion, did I?:) So yea, Weibo might be worth joining as well if you're on 人人。

The advantage of Weibo is that it is used across Greater China (Mainland china but also Hong Kong and Taiwan), tons of interesting topics are covered.
