No sound on Scritter

The sound stopped working on my phone for Skritter. All other programs (Pleco, for example) have sound. But not Scritter. It worked fine until a few days ago.
I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 Android phone. In "Settings", sound is turned on. Does anyone know what might have happened?

Did you mute your iPhone? check the mute switch above the volume buttons and/or double-click the home button, swipe left on the multi-tasking bar, and see if the speaker icon is muted. Not all apps respect the mute setting; Skritter does.

lechuan, the very faint speaker icon between the time recorder and the settings button on the top was muted. Never noticed this before. Thanks for your response.
