study different elements on different lists

Hello,

I currently have a list from which I am studying the writing and the definitions, nothing else. I would like to keep this that way for now.

However, I would also like to study all elements (tone, definition, writing and definitions) from a second list. Is this possible on the app? It looks like my study settings are inherited equally for all lists.

what is the point in you extra learning arrangement if i may ask?

learn all the aspects of one character/word and you will be rewarded. believe me!

Hi learninglife,

The list I'm only reviewing certain items on is the one from Heisig's "Remembering the simplified hanzi".

The entire introduction is available here: http://nirc.nanzan-u.ac.jp/en/files/2012/09/RH-Simplified-sample.pdf

It explains in detail the reasoning behind this set up.

If you use 'Advanced Study' you can turn off the tone and reading tests.

I'd be interested in hearing an update from you on how you find using the 'pure' Heisig learning method (ie. no pronunciation), and how it works woth learning speed and connection of characters with pronunciation in the future.

I started with the Matthews book (which extended the Heisig method with pronunciation mnemonics), then switched to Heisig (but continuing to learn pronunciation) since it covers many more characters.

We do have the per-list parts control on our to-do list, because we agree: that would come in handy. It hasn't made its way to the top yet, though.
