About writing tablets.

Kuini   March 13th, 2011 12:41p.m.

I have a graphic tablet but it's a big one and i'd like to buy a small and cheap tablet for when i'm not at home.

Do you guys can recommend me one ? i saw a GENIUS EasyPen i405 for exemple for like 25 dollars. Is it okay to use on skritter ?

Thx.

There are a lot of rubbish tablets around. If I were you I'd just stick to something that's going to work. IE a Wacom. The Bamboo pen one is pretty cheap. Plus, Genius is about as shoddy as it gets for PC hardware.

looks good for 25 bucks. I have a 汉王 brand, model number 挑战者 it has a wired pen and the pad is quite small, great for traveling I am using it in a hotel right now

Try it first if at all possible. Some say you can use it as a mouse but don't work out of a select few programs. I've personally tried out a bunch of 汉王 brand tablets that didn't work on Skritter, apparently never getting to the one that did. I've really beat up my Wacom over the past year and it's handled itself well.

This one is a cheaper alternative that we've tested to work pretty well:

It's reviewed here:

From a review I read of the EasyPen i405:

it looks very similar to the Monoprice, so I imagine it will work. If you go for that one, let me know how it goes.

@Thomas I've been using the 汉王笔小龙女 with Skritter for over a year now, so at least some of Hanvon's tablets do work...bad luck, perhaps.
