Native Android app?

AndroidUser   October 4th, 2011 4:22a.m.

It seems nearly that it would have been better with lack of Flash support for the Android as then we would be able to get a proper native Android app :(

Nick said Adobe Flash 11 will be out soon, I googled about it, seems there's a good chance it will improve Skritter on android.

Except for those of us with older Android devices that cannot use Flash :(

Need to upgrade my Android, looks like! :)

Oh coincidentally, Adobe Flash 11 has just been released.

Yea you need Android 2.2 or higher;

For people who don't have the international Android Market, find the download link here:

Anyone knows what Adobe AIR is exactly for? Is it useful to download as well?

Well, I've been trying Skritter out on my tablet and it seems to me the writing and switching screens has become quicker, but atm it's hard to judge whether it's the flash improvement or the fast internet speed.

It will be more interesting to see the effect on other devices, such as android phones!

Yes, FP11 on mobile! I will be excited to test this soon. I hope that horrible bug was fixed, and perhaps we'll get some better performance in general out of it.

And I don't have time right now, but there are really exciting things we can do with FP11 to take advantage of hardware acceleration, so this could bring better performance to non-mobile Skritter, as well.

Adobe Air is essentially a runtime that allows Flash applications to run without a browser.
