Possibility of adding mnemonics in any test setting

Unprovincial   January 13th, 2013 4:49a.m.

I'm not using the web version of skritter and I was wondering if it is possible to add the function of being able to add mnemonics for characters and words in any test setting? I can't for example add any when I'm asked for the pinyin of a character or word. Only when I'm asked to write the character. Thank you!

I thought you can change the mneumonics for characters anytime. But only a word mneumonic on a reading test. Anyway apparently the mneumonics are not used very much anyway.

You can add mnemonics for the words when you're asked for pinyin or definition--just tap the tapdown arrow at the top and it'll pop down the mnemonic chooser and definition editor pencils like on a writing or tone prompt.

Yeah but if I have a word like si4hu1, I can only do it for the complete word and not each character. That's what I'm missing.

Ah, yes. We aren't planning to add the ability to go character-specific for mnemonic editing in this context.
