Not syncing properly.

I am not sure if it was just today, but I noticed something was not right with my reviews, even though skritter seemed to be syncing. Anyway I had been messing around with the time on my ipad a couple of days ago, but had reset it to the correct time. Think I lost a couple of hours skrittering today after I reinstalled due to this sync error. Seems fine now.

Basically I wanted to know if changing your devices time would cause sync problems?

We tried to handle this as best we could, and it should handle changing timezones properly, but I wouldn't be surprised if manually adjusting the time away from the device's current timezone caused sync problems like you describe. What kind of time changes had you done?

Sorry about this! Device time handling is tricky stuff, unfortunately.

No problem. I was adjusting the time both forwards and backwards to cheat another app into thinking time had passed. I usually check that the app has synced correctly every time I use it, but it seemed to be syncing fine, I only noticed when I checked the website and it was stating 600 reviews not 0.

Interesting enough though it must have synced to some degree because all the new words I added were still there, just it hadn't synced all the reviews. Anyway I won't be messing with the time again.

Okay, that makes sense. If the reviews were submitted with a timestamp that was before the most recent review the server had gotten from that device, the server would think they were erroneously delayed retries of reviews which had later been accepted, so it would discard them.
