Best way to transition from Traditional to Simplified?

AAAAA   March 1st, 2011 3:02p.m.

I've been learning Traditional for some time and would like to switch over to Simplified. I am currently studying Simplified and already-added Traditional characters, but I feel that reviewing all the traditional characters might be slowing me down. Is it recommendable to make the leap and switch to just Simplified, or is there like an option to automatically remove a traditional character once its corresponding simplified character has been learned?

I don't know your motives about moving from Traditional to Simplified but I would suggest to learn both. I know that on the one hand it really slows you down. On the other hand I'm now able to chat with Mainlaind Chinese but also with Taiwan Skype friends without effort.
Also there are good Taiwan Drama Series which use traditional characters.
These are only few benefits of Traditional
Regarding your question:
If you added a character in Trad. and Simpl. form then both forms are discrete objects.

When I did it, I just switched over to simplified. If I need to pick up traditional again, it won't be tough, and my Skritter progress will still be there, with my traditional words due and ready for action. But I did save a bunch of time by not reviewing the old traditional items.
